I don't know how they did this...it's the same overall footprint as other hot tub / cold plunge options out there but it fits double the people? I’m 6'3 and this hot tub will fit four people comfortably and two people in the cold plunge side.
The AV-2 can be placed inside or outside on a level surface.
It weighs 5800 pounds when filled, and must be placed on a surface that can support this weight. A deck, platform, concrete pad, or 4" of loose stone can all work well.
There are two vents that are located on the cold plunge side of the AV-2 which should have access to open air for ventilation. One vent is located on the access panel and should have 5 feet of clearance. The smaller vent along the length of the cold plunge should have 2-3 feet of space, depending on your environment.
What are the dimensions and weight of the AV-2?
The AV-2 has exterior dimensions of 84" L x 84" W x 33" H.
It weighs 975 pounds when empty and 5,800 pounds when filled.
The Hot Tub holds 285 gallons, and the the Cold Plunge holds 165 gallons.
What are the electrical requirements?
The hot tub runs on a 220V, 50-amp hard-wired electrical connection and should be installed by a licensed electrician. The cold plunge runs on a standard 110V, 15-amp connection.
How does install work?
Once delivered, there are three steps for installation.
1) Place the Unit. We recommend you work with a local hot tub mover to ensure a safe, smooth install. They will un-crate the unit, move it into location, and remove crate packaging. We’re happy to suggest trusted movers in your area (we've worked with many) and help with quotes—you’ll contract directly with them. Most straightforward installs cost $300–$500, assuming clear access (3 ft wide, 7.5 ft high, no tight turns or steep stairs). You should confirm with the mover in advance so everything goes smoothly.
2) Hook Up Electrical. Your electrician will connect the unit (220V for the hot side, 110V for the cold side).
3) Connect & Fill. You can connect the chiller, fill up the AV-2 with a standard hose, and you’re ready to go!
What is maintenance like?
Assuming residential and normal use, routine maintenance is similar to a standard hot tub. We recommend:
Weekly: Add sanitizer and balancers to your water. Rinse the metal mesh filter on the cold plunge.
Quarterly: Drain both the cold plunge and hot tub. Clean the acrylic shell and cover. Replace the paper filters on both the hot tub and cold plunge. Refill and add sanitizer and balancers.
How does shipping work? How long does it take?
We offer free curbside delivery via freight carrier. The unit ships to a local distribution center, and then the carrier contacts you to schedule a delivery window.
Usually this takes 1-2 weeks from the day we ship. For in-stock units, we can ship next-day if you’re ready to receive it.
Can I order now and ship later?
Absolutely! We'd be happy to hold your order until you are ready to receive — and we won’t ship out without your explicit approval.
Can the AV-2 be put below ground or in a deck?
There are two vents that are located on the cold plunge side of the unit. These vents are essential for providing proper airflow to the cold plunge chiller, and they need unobstructed open air access. As such, the AV-2 cannot be placed fully underground.
Many customers choose to embed their unit in a deck or against a wall. This is possible as long as the vents have airflow, and you have access to the mechanicals & controls. Feel free to reach out to discuss what's possible!
Can the AV-2 be used year-round?
The hot tub is designed for year-round outdoor use, including winter.
The cold plunge is designed for use above freezing temperatures. There are some modifications you can do to keep it running in sub-freezing temps — please reach out to us to discuss if you are interested.
Without these modifications, the cold plunge should be winterized and drained for temps below 32°F.
How long does it take to heat up / cool down?
Each side of the AV-2 typically heats/cools at a rate of 4°F per hour. Once at the desired temperature, it maintains that temp continuously.

The Aquavoss is the best thing thats happened to me this year. I still can't believe how perfectly hot the hot tub is while the cold plunge is perfectly cold! It functions great, is beautiful, and is made with such high quality. It really has made a difference in my recovery. As someone who works out for a living and must continuously care for her body it has really become a game changer. All the money I've saved by having my own recovery system versus constantly paying to use a facility's cold plunge and hot tub has also been so rewarding. It's definitely worth every penny. Now I don't know if I could live without it.

I hadn't heard about The Aquavoss 2 until just a month or so before I bought it and took that month because it seemed too good to be true.
And, in fact it's true it is too good to be true because it's so much better than I had expected.
The design and manufacturing are superior to any other spa I looked at.
The hot tub and cold plunge in one unit are beautifully proportioned, easy to move between, and take up less space than separate units.

We recently purchased the AV-2 model. We cannot thank everyone from the Aquavoss team enough for both a great product and great customer support. From the moment I started communicating with Cynthia, there was an immediate feeling of support. Neither my wife nor I had a pool or hot tub growing up, so admittedly there was a learning curve for us. When we finally made the purchase the customer service improved! Cynthia did a magnificent job in making sure the unit was shipped on time and then helping to find a local hot tub mover to open and move the unit to our back patio. Cynthia’s recommendation for the hot tub mover, provided first class service and even hauled away the shipping pallet, crate and packing materials for us. After having our electrician set-up the box and take care of everything electrical, as you know there is still the chemicals and living in South Carolina in August, how to get the cold tub temp down without overworking the Chiller. Once again your team came through, as Cynthia put me in touch with your Service Director, Ben. Ben and I spoke for 30 minutes, where he provided me with a wealth of knowledge and tips; so much in fact I made sure to take notes. Even better was how Ben offered for me to not hesitate to contact him for ongoing support. I really don’t know if we could have had a better buying experience. Knowing there is this kind of support further supports our decision in buying an Aquavoss product and continuing to be a loyal customer.
I like it even more than I thought I would, and I sort of thought I would love it! I had originally purchased the Aquavoss to replace an old cold plunge that was difficult to keep clean, filled, and the old one would occasionally get thick ice (even with a heater) during our Wisconsin winters. I wanted something reliable and easier to maintain that would complement our wood-fired sauna. What I hadn't anticipated was just how much we would enjoy, and how frequently we would use, the hot tub as well. I love our sauna and still use it regularly, but it is a process to harvest and split and stack the wood, wait for it to heat, and so forth and so on. I enjoy the process, but the time commitment limited my use, depending on what was going on with family commitments. The Aquavoss makes it easy to enjoy hot and cold whenever we have a little time. Even short windows work - some mornings, I'll finish a run and relax in the hot tub with a cup of coffee before work, and I also get to soak the old muscles and knees in the cold. And the cold plunge is fantastic - setting the temperature is a nice feature, and a welcome change from just going with the ambient temperature (breaking a couple of inches of ice with a log was invigorating situation, but a bit much some days...), the filters and ozone and low chem treatments keep things clean and clear and sanitized. Our family also enjoys spending time together in the hot tub, which has been a wonderful bonus. It is some 'analog' screen-free time to chat and connect, enjoy the outdoors, and relax as a family. I could not be happier with that. The convenience means we use it far more frequently than I expected, with much less preparation and less wood consumption. The filtration and water-treatment system is also a welcome improvement over our previous plunge. And some quality family time to boot! Not to gush, but the customer service has been great - Aquavoss was accommodating with the delivery date, helped with the install and questions I had, and have been gracious and patient as I got everything up to speed. I purchased the Aquavoss primarily for the cold plunge, but the 'tubby time' has become something our whole family enjoys. It's a terrific addition to our home, and we're so very happy with the investment.
The AquaVoss AV-2 has been one of the best wellness investments I've ever made. The unit is remarkably quiet during operation, making it easy to use any time of day without being disruptive. I also appreciate the design. The AV-2 has a sleek, modern aesthetic that for us is much more comfortable than our previous tub. It was very easy to set up, and the magnetic removable panels allow easy access to filters and all the important bits that are often hard to get to. They clearly put a lot of thought into user satisfaction with the tub, and there are even drainage ports so you can avoid having to use cumbersome electric pumps. What truly sets the AV-2 apart is how well it performs and the company standing behind it. The cooling and heating functions work extremely well, consistently maintaining the desired temperature. Temperature control is precise on both sides, allowing us to set temperatures to our specific wants (especially important on the cold side as we try for colder plunges). Although probably unintentional, one of my favorite features is the filter system. When heating or cooling, the tub inputs release a steady stream of delicate bubbles into the middle of the tubs. There is a real spa vibe to relaxing while little bubbles gently pop around you. If you want something more aggressive, the jets are also top notch, clearly designed for pressure and reliability. Beyond the product itself, the customer service has been exceptional, with responsive and knowledgeable support whenever questions arise. After using the AV-2 regularly, I've noticed a meaningful improvement in how my body feels day to day. My joints are less painful and aches and pains don’t seem to last as long as they have in the past. We upgraded to the AV-2 system from a standalone hot tub and inflatable cold plunge set up. I have really been blown away, and for anyone looking for a high-quality dual hot/cold plunge setup, the AV-2 is a great place to look. 10/10, would soak again.
I love it. It’s become a daily routine that I try very hard to keep. Love going from one to the other and experiencing the benefits of contrast therapy. It’s helped me tremendously, by both providing physical relief from the constant stress my body is under doing stunt work and also as a tool to build mental fortitude and increase energy. We purchased the AV2- hot tub/cold plunge combo and it has been an unbelievable add to our daily life. We love using this AquaVoss! We had a traditional hot tub and replaced with the AquaVoss for the dual purpose hot tub and cold plunge. It looks great! We love the lounge type seating in the both sections. I was previously doing infrared sauna and cryotherapy but decided to switch to hot tub and cold plunge at home. It so convenient and will pay for itself in about 2 years. Also, I like the ease of access and the magnetic metal panels that are easy to remove.
