Aquavoss Cleaning Maintenance

In this article, we will discuss the best practices for maintaining your Aquavoss Model 2 hot tub and cold plunge. We’ll guide you on the right chemicals to use and outline the essential weekly cleaning tasks (details on monthly and quarterly maintenance can be found in your user manual). If you have any questions along the way, feel free to contact us!

CHEMICALS TO USE

We frequently get asked, “Do I need to use chemicals for the Model 2?” In short, we highly recommend adding chemicals to your Model 2 for several reasons. Chemicals will ensure that your water stays clean and it also reduces how often you will need to change out your water.

If you do not add chemicals, you will need to change your water out very frequently (frequency will vary depending upon usage) to keep the water clean. This process will not only add to the amount of time you are spending maintaining the system, but it can also be expensive from a resource usage perspective (e.g. electrical and water). Therefore, we recommend using chemicals.

In the Aquavoss Model 2, we recommend that you use a chlorine- and bromine-free chemical solution made by Sirona Spa Products. These are the chemicals that we recommend using:

  • Sirona™ Enhance Bromide Salt Solution
  • Sirona™ Activate Granular
  • Sirona™ Test Strips – Bromine/Chlorine
  • Sirona™ Spa Up
  • Sirona™ Spa Down

You can buy these chemicals on Amazon or at your local pool store.
